I recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology from The College of New Jersey. I’m beyond excited to continue my education and obtain a Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Loyola University Maryland this coming fall!
Even from a young age, I just always knew I wanted to work with people. I was first introduced to working alongside professional adults and children through my volunteering experience at a local library and then later, a non-profit environmental organization. Along with my trilingual knowledge and my Filipino cultural background, all these experiences have fostered my interest and enthusiasm for my pursuit of greater education in the SLP field! I even had the amazing opportunity to witness client interactions and the daily responsibilities of an SLP alongside Dr. Moore.
During these times, I managed to learn more about professionalism, teamwork and connections. These characteristics were further implemented at my summer internships at a special education school and later, my job at a daycare. My study abroad experiences in London, England has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and introduced me to a cultural community I was once unfamiliar with. As an educator, I strive to become a dedicated practitioner because I know how important it is for a student to build a sense of community in order to succeed as an individual!

I am an upcoming junior undergraduate majoring in the accelerated Communication Sciences and Disorders five-year program at La Salle University. I am heavily involved with my university which includes being a coordinator for tutoring inner city children and
doing service trips to local HIV/AIDS community centers.
When I have time to myself, I love to cook and bake and hang out with friends. I want to be a SLP because I want to work in a medical setting and work with people that have dysphagia or swallowing problems.
